Before you say that this skin is ugly: it is not a skin, it is a template. And reading the readme.txt is a must (at least the beginning of it).
Did you ever want to know where the Lost Ocean of Monoster is? The Nonbitmap Fountain of Youth? What the capital of Resize is? The maximum height of the Clutterbar Range? All this information is now in your pocket! I hope you find this template useful - I tried to include every component and every active area as precisely as possible. Suggestions and bug reports are welcome.
It includes a cursor copying utility by skinme!: CursorMultiply.
1.0.1: Added the 'pl-winshade-button' bug in the readme.txt 1.0.2: Fixed spelling and typos of readme.txt 1.0.3: Fixed some confusion with the half-tiles in playlist and minibrowser (readme.txt and skeletons.bmp). 1.0.4: Changed to 24 bits (true colour) to make it easier working with layers. 1.1: Added skeletons2.bmp with different layout (see the readme.txt), added clutterbar 'buttons' to main.bmp, changed symbols in balance.bmp 1.1.1: Volume.bmp was 2 pixels narrower. Size is correct now (change not reflected in screenshot). 1.1.2: Deleted two spurious lines in pledit.txt 1.1.3: Updated skeletons.bmp, skeletons2.bmp and screenshot. Typos fixed in readme.txt 1.2: Added pl-stacks template to skeletons.bmp, as suggested by ¤db¤. 1.2.1: Pl-stacks template now in skeletons2.bmp too. 1.2.1b: Changed a colour. 1.3: Winshade bars (posbar, volume, balance) templated, showing where the sliders change. 1.3b: Reloaded (a couple of files were missing). 1.4: Added amarok.bmp and vidamp.bmp, by ¤db¤. Fixed 1-pixel too long winshade balance. 1.5: Added video.bmp, gen.bmp and genex.bmp support (i.e. adapt to Winamp 2.9), updated readme, this bit done mainly by Jones ;) 1.5.1: Bug fixed in skeletons (+20/0/-20 changed to +12/0/-12) and readme.txt edited (vidamp.bmp is *not* video.bmp).

Average! I have one similar to this. But mine has only two colors: black and white. And I never thought someone would consider the possibility of publishing it! :-D But you have to agree that for those who dont skin, it'll be maybe not so ugly, but veeery useless.

Excellent! I`m definitely going to use this next time I do something. I have a similar template from WinAmp.com but any other help with skinning is always appreciated - and this will assist me greatly - since I always use SkinAmp to cut out all my skin bitmaps. Next time I`m gonna work from base/from this. I`ll also say again to everyone - PLEASE READ THE README.TXT in this skin! :P

I didn't use more than 2 colours to make it less ugly, but to make it easy to tell apart the different components in the bmps and in the final layout. And I don't publish it to get lots of thumbs-up and excellent reviews, but to share it with everyone who finds it useful :)

Good! I have read the Readme.txt and also downloaded the skin,i think that many people will find it useful, even experienced authors.

Excellent! Having read the readme txt in greater detail, I`m astonished just how many things are out of whack in WinAmp. Like the `next track` button being a pixel short etc. Can`t understand why Justin would miss things like that, unless there`s some bizarre technical reason. Anyway, I`m here to say - if you`re reading Max - maybe this is better suited to the Skinning Tools section...new-skinners will find it much more easily. And it`d be worth it. The sheer effort that has gone into it is unreal and the readme flows well.

Excellent! Jellby - I collect template amps. I got SkinOmatic the other day and just d/l'ed yours. After checking it out I believe you have put together the BEST template available. The information in the readme tx is worth the d/l alone and regardless of what some people might say I hear that running a template amp on your screen is the 'In' thing to do these days...Good work man!

Excellent! I recommend this for anyone who is making a Winamp skin. It is based on what was - as far as I could see - the best winamp skin template available (Template Amp) - yet with many valuable improvements, fixes, and additions. Good for people using layers, and for those who don't (eg. users of MS-Paint, Ultimate Paint, etc.)

Excellent! Wow, I have to say this is an excellent tool. I've been skinning with Template Amp for a while and thought I knew every bug there was to know when skinning Winamp. Then I read the readme and boy was I wrong. You've obviously spent a great deal of time on this, Jellby. Great Job! And thank you.

Im not gunna rate it, cos it isnt a skin. And as you say it isnt a skin, why have you released it? I think this would be best in utilities or just for download on your site. Nevertheless it looks useful. It is also obvious that you have put time and effort into this tool but i still refrain from rating :)

Can people please stop complaining about this being published, even though it is not a skin?! The reaons is simple: Hundreds of skinners come to this site, and most of them could benefit from a template such as this, and how the hell would they get it if it wasn't published? If Max ever decides to put it in the skin tools section, I'm sure Jellby will delete it - otherwise....here it is.

Excellent! Wow! You are my saviour man! I'm a very very green skinner and I came here to take a look at some sample skins and to look for inspiration, but I never thought I'd find a template. I made a crappy little template a while back that consisted of a few jpg's (one to show the regions occupied by the 3 components and a layer over top of it that had rectangles for the components and a third layer to label them), but I never actually though of making them into a skin. Thanks a lot, I registered to post this, but I'll definitelly come back here. This skinning business just got a lot more interesting!
